Yeah, i just went to ascalon skill trainer with my lvl2 N/mo, and hey presto, every skill. But im not ascended, and its my first time as necro, so it can't be your own unlocks. Its gotta be that they just enabled all the skills (Bar Elites) like, ember light camp
I unlocked what i could when there, but ran swiftly out of skill points... grr, only had 5! I hope this stays like this now.

So it's not 'account-unlocked' skills? It's ALL skills, even the first time through with that profession?

Which means this is probably a bug so quickly unlock all you can before they figure out a fix! Too bad I'm already UAS (Unlock All Skills)

I think they should make it account-unlocked skills instead of first-timer grand buffet, but hey, whatever ANet wants to do. I'm game for anything.

Yeah, but there may be another agenda in Anets mind. I mean think about it right, if they are intending on keeping the all skills thing. Then that would surely mean that they want to get all the players up-to speed before factions right? The what happens when everyone has all their skills? Old prophecies campaign might be scrapped and taken offline.
Factions + Prophecies means alot of server space, they might be thinking about erasing the odl for the new to save money. Which obviously is good for us as we will most likely pay less in the long term, but also bad as all the old money making areas will be gone..

Obviously.
Or maybe it's a bug and you're all abusing it.
The skill trainer only works if you've already unlocked it on that account. My pre-release account has it all. My newly purchased account has only the ones it's unlocked.
Totally fuggin' unbalancing.

The Prophecies campaign isn't going anywhere. If you sort the skill listings by campaign, you'll see that elites such as Offering of Blood and Spiteful Spirit (two of the most popular Necro elites atm) are Prophecies-only skills, which means you're going to have to cap these skills in Tyria.

It's not unbalancing because a second-timer PvE player is going to breeze through the campaign anyways, no matter what skills they have.
It's easing the tedium of having to do all the damn Old Ascalon fetch quests multiple times with the same profession. Let's be honest here - those quests are only done with every PvE repeat profession because they give out lots of skills early. Now I can just avoid that stuff since I've done those profession's fetch quests before. This is just allowing for lots more freedom in early-game builds (for example, now repeat Elementalists can choose to make non-fire builds from the start if they wanted to). Those that avoid making repeat-profession characters for reasons such as fire-ele starter ALWAYS now have extra incentive for trying out something new from the get-go.
.......and if it is indeed a bug, well let's just say my Yak's Bend ele now has LOTS of firepower.

Well i was only hoping it wouldn't happen.
Seems all good to me, but Anet haven't realeased any info explaining whats going on yet, so most likely could be a bug.

I don't think it is a bug because skill trainer gives only those you have already unlocked. Skill trainers have never before worked like this. Bug would make them to give all norma skills no matter are they unlocked or not. They have added new check code to skill trainers.

When your account unlocks a certain skill through a quest with a warrior for example, is the skill trainer also showing skills that you would have got from that quest, but with a different profession, if so, that may be the reason why i have all the nec skills?

Having all yor unlocked skills availeble from the start will make making a new PvE char and running trough the campaign again a lot less painfull.

That's silly, how easy do you want this game to be?

It makes sense. Since LA is the launch point to Cantha, it seems only natural that your ascended character would have access to all non-elite skills there. It think it's a great idea.
